Sure... sadly though, the Academy has very few aficionados of the Sci-Fi genre, so I wouldn't bet the ranch on her winning it... could be the Dark Horse though for a moving perfomance. As an added thought (far from the Poll question), I think it's interesting how Cameron likes working with the same people again and again. Yeah, sure Sigorney & Michael Biehn; but also consider CCH Pounder as Moat, Neytiri's Mother ("One Night" in the Abyss); Jenette Goldstein as "Vasques" in Aliens & John Conner's Foster Mon in T-2; and Bill Paxton... one of the PUNKS at Griffith Park, confronting a naked AHNOLD in Terminator, Hudson in Aliens & the sleazy Used Car Salesman in True Lies.

A good performance is a good performance.

Although, I can see where it would get dicey with CG because of how much of the character is acting vs, what the CG artist brings to the picture...
