Looking for help within the CG Industry
Hi there,
My name is Ruby, i came to the United States 4 years ago with the intent of studying Animation and Visual Effects and working for a small to medium size studio from the bottom up. I got a transfer through my company(in a different work field) to work over in San Francisco California. I have worked in the IT recruitment industry for over 5 years and have a ton of experience within the business field and recruiting for Games companies. This was in an unrelated field, however it was the easiest way to get to my goal. I have started an Applied Science Degree in Animation and Visual Effects and I excel in 2D conceptual art, lighting, landscapes, interior and exterior matte painting and compositing. So why am i sending out this message......well the US economy is in a dire situation. The bank who promised the student loan will not offer student loans anymore and i have exhausted all my options to be able to get funding for tuition at my School. This is a plea, i have spent the last 4 years working towards my goal and getting into the FX industry where ever the work may take me, India, singapore or even on my doorstep or back in the UK, but i am desperate for a scholarship or funding of some sort. I am open to suggestion to guarantee a rerturn on your investment - ie an agreement set up where i can work for you, with you for a project at any level even fetching the coffee and payment back or part payment for funding me can be taken straight out of my wages. I am willing to put a lot at stake in order to continue my education at Ex'pressions. Some of you may have heard of the School in Emeryville CA - more than 85% of graduates at the school obtain employment following this line of study and because it is an intense 4 yr degree pushed into 2.5yrs - the ones that remain standing are truelly dedicated. Our study is gruelling and classes mimic real time production environments. Classes go until midnight, with projects due the next day, I have got attuned to having little sleep and working constantly, but I am so driven that the lack of sleep does not bother me - I love what i do and i could not do this in any other field.
If anyone is interested in a proposal or to help please email me roobes72@comcast.net or call me 510 965 5561. I am not straight out of highschool and have business, work and life experience, having worked in 2 countries and not afraid to move again!
If anyone has any suggestions then please let me know
