Experience as a studio scenic artist fostered in me an interest in matte painting. It was during this period that I developed an overview of cinematic geometry essential for designing accurately to lens. By 1987, I had established a reputation for providing painted backdrops and traditionally painted optical mattes.

Since 1989, my focus has been primarily digital in nature, although recently, I have found it more rewarding to cross boundaries and fill different roles, sometime in virtual background and matte planning and other times in scenic backing planning and execution. My preference is to work as intimately as possible with each production.
