Whilst at the School of Fine Art in Manchester Metropolitan University I won two travel awards. Using these I moved to Santa Monica and started working at POP Film in 1999. Since then I have created hundreds of shots for a variety of feature film, commercial, and episodic television projects. I count myself very lucky to posses a unique mix of on the box technical and artistic ability plus good management and communication skills. My speciality is in stereographic photorealistic environments but I have a lot of experience in all of the aspects of vfx creation including on-set data acquisition.
I'm fun to work with, easy going, and have an ability to motivate people. As well as being a digital artist and CG supervisor, I have also designed various matte painting pipelines, shot trackers, project managers and pipeline architectures in all manner of systems, from windows sharepoint servers to Google apps.
I also conceived and created this vfx artist community, vfxConnection.com, am currently building a complete vfx project management system in the cloud called vfx2.0 and also involved in developing an artist mentoring network called the vfxAcademy.

Marcus and I worked together for a Target commercial, and I was very pleased to have him on my show. He did a fine job of things and was a nice person to have around. He did try to stab me with a fork one day, but hey, who hasn't?
Marcus was a real pleasure to work with. Extremely knowledgable and always ready to lend a helping hand. He is extremely talented technically, and artistically. I really enjoyed working with him and hope that I get that opportunity again.

Marcus is a one in a million. He has a great attitude, respectful leadership skills, highly organized, and extremely talented. His communication skills are the best I've come across. Most importantly, he has tremendous integrity. Lucky are those who've had the opportunity to work with him.
Marcus is a great leader, we worked together on smallville. Direct, funny and stress less, he is the kind of sup that any would like to work with. I'm also a huge fan of his matte-paintings and set-extensions. A GREAT ARTIST!
